About This Curriculum

Welcome to the Curriculum

The "Who Is In Control?" vaping awareness curriculum was designed to follow up the in-person or virtual Seeing Through the Vapor presentation — but it works just as powerfully as a stand-alone curriculum that plugs into your existing lesson plans.

The curriculum takes the entire presentation your students experienced and breaks it into shorter, focused segments by topic. Each segment combines a video, class discussion questions, and a class activity and/or assignment — giving teachers maximum flexibility with minimum prep time.

Whether you use every segment in order or weave individual topics into what you're already teaching, this curriculum was built to fit your classroom, not the other way around.

🎯 The Goal

Shine a light on the truth. Help teens get all the facts so they can make smart decisions for themselves.

Whenever we make a decision, we use knowledge. So the real questions are: What do you know about vaping? Where did that knowledge come from? What was the intent behind it?

And what happens when we know the truth — but we don't care because we're looking to escape life's challenges? This curriculum addresses all of that, head on.

The Structure

How the Curriculum Works

The presentation is broken into segments by topic. Every segment follows the same simple, powerful three-part format — so teachers always know what to expect and students stay engaged throughout.

📹

Step 1

Video Segment

Each topic begins with a short, dynamic video clip from the full presentation. The same edutaining style your students experienced — now on demand, anytime, from any device.

💬

Step 2

Class Discussion

Teachers lead a guided class discussion using provided questions tailored to the topic — designed to get students thinking critically and talking openly about what they just saw.

✏️

Step 3

Activity & Assignment

Each segment closes with a class activity and/or assignment that reinforces the lesson and gives students a chance to apply what they've learned in a meaningful way.
