Course Overview
This course helps 3rd and 5th graders understand what makes them healthy and how to keep screens from getting in the way. Through fun, age-appropriate lessons, students explore the importance of sleep, exercise, nutrition, and real friendships — and learn to find a healthy balance with technology.
What Students Will Learn
- The four pillars of health: sleep, exercise, nutrition, and friendships
- How screens can affect sleep and why rest matters
- Why active play is important for growing bodies and minds
- The difference between screen friendships and face-to-face friendships
- How to set healthy screen time limits and build balanced habits
Course Format
Each lesson includes a short video segment, guided discussion questions for the classroom, and a hands-on activity or assignment. This course is designed to be taught by a teacher over 5 class sessions.
